Welcome to the Parks Department! Our Park Board, appointed by the Town Council, is dedicated to creating fun and engaging parks for children of all ages. We invite residents interested in sharing ideas and collaborating with us to attend our meetings and consider joining the Park Board Committee. OUR PARKS & TRAILS

The park features a variety of playground equipment for all ages and abilities, including ADA-accessible swings, baby swings, traditional swings, and the popular Little Bug Village play area. Visitors can also enjoy the basketball and pickleball courts for recreation and outdoor fun. There is also a pavilion that includes picnic tables for public use.*



SOUTH WHITLEY TOWN PARK
*The pavilions at the Town Park and Gale Hagen are available for private party rentals. Please contact the Clerks' Office at 260-723-5312 for more information.



DON AND VI LEBRUN GATEWAY PARK

Dedicated in 2019, Don and Vi LeBrun Gateway Park is designed as a welcoming community gathering space, the "pocket" park offers shaded seating areas, ADA-accessible picnic tables, and fun outdoor games including cornhole, giant Connect Four, and tic-tac-toe. A small stage also provides space for community events, live music, and local performances, making the park a perfect spot to relax, connect, and enjoy downtown South Whitley.
